want-stricken in march
Mar 18th, 2010 by shallow

wanting is my least favorite feeling. that is, if you call that a feeling. otherwise, wanting is my least favorite action. because in order to satisfy it, one needs money. and if one is not willing to part with money, the feeling has to be suppressed. or the action has to be corrected, if you consider it that. whichever way one wishes to deal with wanting, it’s not a very pleasant business.

as for me, whenever i feel a strong sense of wanting things, i write about them. it gives me a feeling of accommodation… a very misplaced security, but security nonetheless. as if by committing images of these things in my blog makes them mine in a very existential sense. ok, it’s a very perverted view of consumerism, but it sure beats the hell out of overspending. besides, i’d probably end up actually purchasing one or two of the things in consideration (especially if they are on sale; in which circumstance, i can blame marketing for ruining my budget). then i can move on with my life.

workout for knockout

i was never really into working out. i’ve tried gym memberships twice; i think i just wasted the fees. the only fitness routine i perform is walking to the nearest mini-mart for a coca-cola and potato chips (aside from emulating dance moves from a screen like a crazy fan). until late last year.

show you support pacman!
Mar 7th, 2010 by shallow

good luck on your upcoming bout against clottey, pacman!

online jewelry retailer bijoux de lou has restocked her boxing ring… uh, ring.

in a previous entry about this ingenious piece of boxing fanaticism, i mentioned about boxing glove charms. i have always wanted that. well, bijoux de lou just happened to address that want:

for fashionista fans of the sweet science
May 4th, 2009 by shallow

right on the heels of the pacman’s stunning victory over the hitman, i found three fashionista accessories that will let people know how big a fan we are of the sweet science.

coincidentally, i found this one in www.bijouxdelou.multiply.com as i was searching for chandelier necklaces today (i’m always looking for chandelier necklaces. i’m semi-obsessed like that).

who would have thought, a ring made to look like a boxing, well, ring. and just like your class ring, this will commemorate a significant event in your life: paying php2000 in ppv to watch less than 6 minutes of the title bout.

and how about this one to keep your national pride close to your heart:

unfortunately though, i haven’t spotted this particular style here. i’m still scouring multiply for independent sellers who might carry a similar design.

for charm bracelet types, you might want to consider adding this to your cluster:

surely the sport isn’t cutesy like that, but your dedication to fashion may just be as intense as the fighters’ will to win: “defend your couture” is written on it.

are you as badass as the pacman? or just you just look badass in a boxing robe?

are you as badass as the pacman? or do you just look badass in a boxer's outfit?

so boxing fans and enthusiasts, you don’t need to wear your gloves or your robe to prove to the world that you’re into the sport. just a few one-of-a kind pieces can show how much you love to summon the fighter in you… or to watch the fighter in others.

come to think of it, i wouldn’t mind the boxing robe. looking like a porn star.
