i think it was some time in 2008 when i decided that wide-leg pants are my staple outfit. now i have five pairs of them in denim, two pairs in black, one pair in khaki and one pair in cream. as you can see, i try my best to show some commitment to styles i like.

it’s red, it’s slick, it’s transparent and it looks like your mackintosh.
like the jil sander market bag, this trench from burberry’s “april showers” capsule collection makes me happy.

man, how much i used to love stars. it was a minor obsession. i say minor because i wouldn’t die for them, but obsession nonetheless because i spent good money to acquire them and a lot of effort to stick small luminous stars all over my room’s ceiling and all four walls. they were all over me in the form of jewelries, clothes, downloaded logos (remember those pixelated things in the 90′s?), school supplies and tons of doodles that seem to ooze out of every page of every subject notebook.
i’m still very fascinated by stars, though i don’t have the natural inclination to doodle them as often anymore. but i could just imagine how my old self would have burst into spontaneous broadway song at the sight of dolce & gabbana’s a/w 2011 collection.

i believe i wrote about resort collections last year (in this entry) when we moved to the resort town of fiji. having realized that most of my outfits are inappropriate for the new environment, i started to look towards these collections for ideas.
this year, i’m at it again. i am normally atwitter over the maxi dresses, but there was very little in that style that inspired me (except for this one collette dinnigan. i don’t think i could love that enough), but many of the pants are exactly my type. other notables: the cocktail dresses and corporate casuals.

jumping on the celebrity-cum-designer bandwagon is none other than the queen of pop. or should we say the offspring of the queen of pop. according to the mother, it was 13-year-old lola who designed the pieces for the junior line they recently launched.
ah, yes, the ruffled skirt trend, the one that throws us back to our childhood. thankfully, designers have updated this little girl staple with sophisticated cuts and unexpected details.
still wondering how to wear it when you’re already over 17?
